Our Process
How ABA Therapy Works?
Research over the last 40+ years has shown the efficacy of ABA therapy for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Intake
This journey starts with a comprehensive consultation with one of our BCBA’s to discuss the primary areas of concern and how we can meet the needs of your family.
Insurance Verification
We will help you determine eligibility of services and help navigate you through the insurance process which will include filling out a Service Agreement.
Treatment Plan
Our BCBA and team will assess your child’s skills by administering assessments in the home setting. Once the assessment is finished, a report will be written and reviewed with you that includes the treatment plan that meets the needs of your child
Treatment
Once approved, you will start therapy that will focus on the areas of concern addressed in the initial report. A Behavior Interventionist will come to your home and provide individual support to your child.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to bringing about meaningful changes in behavior. It involves creating behavior interventions based on careful observing and measuring the behavior. Specific techniques are used in ABA include careful arrangement of different environments, and use of prompting and shaping techniques to teach new skills and behaviors. ABA therapists not only teach appropriate communication, social, and behavioral skills, they also work with families to reduce or manage challenging behavior. Some pieces of ABA therapy includes:
– Teaching parents and professionals to understand the purpose or function of a specific behavior.
– Identifying and teaching a “replacement” or alternative behavior.
– Providing structure to the child’s day and practicing the skills taught in session.
– Ongoing monitoring of a child’s progress to ensure the program is successful.
When you think of ABA, knowing that consistency is key, the number of hours vary for each client and will be discussed during the intake with your family.
Research has shown that early intervention services can greatly improve a child’s development. Today, early intervention ABA therapy is widely recognized as an extremely effective treatment for autism.
